Such amazing light! Love the how it highlights Sabrina’s pigtails so perfectly!

I remember when I was pregnant, Amy told me that once I had my baby that all I’d want to do is sit and stare at her all day long. She was right. And I find that most parents feel the same way about their little ones. They are the most beautiful and fascinating creatures in the world. Seeing the world through their eyes is always so refreshing. Everything is all so new and wonderful to them. Sabrina especially loved checking out the grass (she didn’t like it), the grapes (she loved those), and these flowers (which were just ho hum).

Sabrina’s nickname is Birdie and I think she knows it already! Just after I took this image she snatched up three of the cookies in her hand. She’s a quick one! I love her little foot in the corner of the frame too.

I love gummy smiles and itty bitty teeth! A bit of sun flare is the icing on my cake!

Jason’s really into photography and envisioned this scene for his family.  He was really, really excited when I brought out my Rolleiflex T for him to shoot with.

I love the huge swing set they have in their backyard. It was such a hit with all the kids!

The centerpieces from Jen K Florals were made to look like fluffy ice cream cones! Aren’t they adorable?

Sophie and her Daddy Kevin. Love that the whole family rocks a vintage look so well.

Melody of Sweet and Saucy put together this amazing dessert stand. And the stand was built from scratch by Sophie’s Daddy. How amazing is that?

Linda put together these personalized goodie bags for the little ones in attendance. The ice cream cone topped ribbon wand is still a favorite of Ellie’s.

It’s very rare that the three of us are in a shot together so I love these so so much. Thanks Alice for taking these for us! Don’t you love the little birthday hats that Linda made? Each one was unique and I love how they were made to be worn off center. So fun!

You may recognize the cutie on the left as Hannah, Henny’s of Utterly Engaged’s little girl. She’s so gorgeous! And I adore the image on the right. Sophie has such doting and loving Grandmothers!

Janelle and her man. Janelle is a hair and makeup artist who I’ve worked with in the past on styled shoots. She’s really great at what she does! And I just had her cut my hair and I love it!

Happy Birthday dear Sophie! It’s been such a pleasure seeing your grow up with so much love from so many people. We love you Sophie, baby!

We started off at the where Nicole Deanne worked her magic on Jessica. It’s always so great running into Nicole as she was my hair and makeup girl too for my wedding. And now we’re both Mommies to little girls. How the time flies! I loved the vibrant Japanese kimono robe that Eddie gifted to Jessica. It so perfectly complimented their wedding colors.

Jessica wore a flower hair piece and donned these gorgeous Badgley Mishka heels on her wedding day. Both were so delicate and feminine.

Jessica looked absolutely stunning on her wedding day. All throughout the day I could hear guests commenting on how gorgeous she looked.

While Jen and I were shooting the girls, Jeret met up with Eddie for some portraits. I love the Transformer cuff links!

Eddie looked quite handsome in his suit.

Their first look was incredibly cute to witness and capture.

I loved shooting their portrait session here. The light was fab, loved the neutral greys, and of course Jessica and Eddie, despite what they say, are naturals in front of the camera!

I have this thing for laughs and Jessica’s rates right up there as one of the best!

The bridal party looking so gorgeous in their peacock blue dresses. I love how they all chose a style that complimented their individual styles.

These two were so excited to be married! Seven years in the making!

I love how truly happy Jessica and Eddie looked after their ceremony.

They had their reception at Lawry’s in Beverly Hills and I have to just say this… BEST. MEAL. EVER. We were treated as guests and had our own little booth, hot bread, their famous spinning salad (as vendors we almost never get bread or salad) and of course the mouth watering prime rib with all the fixings! Oh god, I want to go back just writing about it.

In honor of Eddie’s Korean heritage they had a traditional PyeBaek ceremony which everyone loved. I never get tired of brides and grooms in traditional dress whether they’re sari’s, hanboks, qipaos, or traditional Thai or Cambodian dresses with all their jewelry!

Congratulations Eddie and Jessica! I am so incredible happy for your both and want to thank you two for being so gracious, beautiful, funny and sweet. I loved working with you guys and being a part of your big day! Hope you two love these teasers as much as I do!

Little Evan is the spitting image of his Father, Andy. He has his Mommy’s pinchable cheeks though!

This is Abbie and her Mom Tracy on the left and Alison on the right. I love how Mommy and her daughter are dressed alike in dresses and floppy hats.

Ellie loved riding the wagon out into the fields! It was a scorching hot day and the slight breeze from the wagon ride was so nice!

We got to sample lots of sweet, raw organic veggies on the wagon. I loved the green beans and the corn the best. Ellie wasn’t particularly impressed with the veggies, but she did have a taste of everything which I was proud of. After this bite she said, “nooooo.” And handed the green beans back to me.

Why does my baby look so shell shocked all the time? Or maybe she’s tired of Mommy always pointing a camera in her face?

The baseboards are being installed as I type this. The upstairs hallway has been finished. They’re installing the transition pieces as well today. I hope to have my office set up again tonight and be back to our regularly scheduled program this week!

In the mean time, you know what I got to do on this little reprieve from work? I, along with some brave industry friends took a trapeze class at Hollywood Aerial Arts in Inglewood. It was the craziest, scariest, funnest thing I’ve ever done. If you haven’t seen the video on my facebook page already, go check it out!

The adrenaline rush had us shaking after each flight, but you couldn’t help but be incredibly proud of yourself for facing your fears and accomplishing tricks you never knew possible. Jump off a super high platform, swing upside down from your knees and then do a back flip dismount? Ha! You think to yourself that the instructor has lost his marbles, because doesn’t he know I sit on my butt all day on the computer? Shopping at the mall tires me out! And you want me to do what?? But they walk you through it. The best advice is the trust yourself, to just try, don’t think and just listen. It’s awesome. I highly recommend it to everyone! I’m already planning to go back with some other friends!

I’ve checked their trouble shooting page which isn’t very helpful and I find the situation highly annoying since I haven’t done anything wrong. I don’t send spam or junk and I don’t think it’s an issue with my IP address being too new since I didn’t have problems sending to Hotmail before…gah, so frustrating! Anyone have any insight on how to resolve this?

So how about we boycott Hotmail and all sign up for a shiny new email account with Gmail? Yes?

And because a post just isn’t the same without a picture…The many faces of Ellie. I was finishing off a roll of film so I could send out a batch and captured her antics over lunch.

The two of them are quite the troopers. They were just finishing off a four hour video session with their videographer and were still both really excited for me to shoot their engagement session. The light was perfect and I loved both their outfits! Clean, classic and with a bit of flare.

Isn’t the light just so divine? I love this next one a whole lot!

The dress was custom made for Alycia and looked gorgeous. What I love most about Alycia is her vivacious personality which is captured so perfectly in the image below!

Probably one of my favorites from their session. It’s simple, classic and the two of them look so happy and in love!

Alycia and Albert brought along this picture frame as a prop and had some fun with it. There are others that had me laughing out loud while working on these, but I’ll leave those as a surprise for the super fun couple!

I’ve shot quite a few times at the Mission and just recently stumbled upon this little alleyway. Love this next one so so much!

We shot in the morning and still had some pretty soft sunlight to shoot in. Loved it!

It was late night and Ellie was up partying like the rockstar that she is. Having tired from carrying her around in the Moby wrap, Jeff sat her down at his desk and put this on her. He calls her his future gamer buddy.

This sea lion loved Ellie. Or wanted to eat her. I’m not really sure, but where Ellie went it followed. It was really amazing to see!

Remember Ellie’s faux hawk? I loved it and still sort of miss it.

We went took Ellie to the Irvine Regional Pumpkin Patch with Linda Ly and her family and took some portraits. Isn’t her vintage headkerchief and gold sandals so cute? I remember when I got pregnant I prayed and prayed for a little girl. I even convinced myself that I was having a boy just so I wouldn’t be too disappointed if I wasn’t having a girl.

Ellie hated this costume. She would literally sit stone still and not move a muscle until I took her out of it. But it was just too cute to pass up.
