I’ve been anxiously waiting for my film from Richard Photo Lab from Jackie and Lee’s gorgeous Ritz Carlton wedding in Laguna Niguel so that I could blog these images. I was beyond thrilled with the images and am so excited to share these all with you! I’m now officially offering film packages to my lifestyle, engagement and wedding packages. If you’ve booked me for a shoot and would like to inquire about having me shoot some film, just send me an email! There’s just something that’s so romantic and timeless about the look and feel of film. I love shooting it so so much!
Jackie and Lee’s wedding was a drop dead gorgeous affair that took place along the coast with breathtaking views and amazing details. Kerrie of Platinum Weddings did an amazing job coordinating the day and it was so great working with her again. And a big thank you goes out to David Ham and Jen Lauren Grant for second shooting and assisting me that day.Be sure to check out their blogs in the coming weeks as well for more images of Jackie and Lee’s wedding. David actually shot a bit of film as well and I love what he got as well.
One of my favorites of capturing a wedding is the getting ready details. The little somethings that make each wedding so unique. I really adore shooting these. Jackie requested that I take lots of pictures of her fabulous Louboutins, a request she didn’t have to make twice! Not only did I love her gold Loubies, I also loved Jackie’s soft bouquet of peonies and sweet pea. The soft whites with a hint of pink is so classic and feminine.
Who doesn’t love a big rock with a delicate micro pave setting?
Jackie’s bridesmaids carried hand tied bouquets of white cala lilies that complimented their soft aqua colored satin dresses so well. And on a side note, a couple of the bridesmaids were old high school and college friends of Jeff’s! I walked in and it was like I was an old friend and it felt great. Everyone was so sweet and not to mention beautiful.
The earrings on the right were Jackie’s gifts to her bridesmaids. Aren’t they pretty?
I love this next one so much! So. Hot.
Jackie looked so beautiful on her wedding day! She opted to wear her hair down for the first look and portraits and then had her hair put up in a romantic losse chignon right before the ceremony.
Jackie and Lee opted for a first look which took place in this private courtyard. It was so sweet!
All the girls looked so gorgeous! I loved the soft aqua colored tiered dresses the bridesmaids all wore. It’s modern yet feminine and so unique.
David got these of the guys looking handsome themselves.
The photo on the right also belongs to David and is one of his film images. Aren’t the colors divine?
It was a perfect summer day with cool breezes and intermittent sun.
My image on the left and David’s on the right. I love how well they compliment each other.
There were some really pretty ceremony details to shoot! I love asking random people to be my hand model and the little ring bearer was beyond cute. Loved him and his little bowtie and smile! I think he really liked modeling for me.
The ring bearer was caught off guard when he reached the floral design in the aisle. He stood there a moment contemplating what to do and then decided to hop/skip between the flowers and made his way down the aisle without misplacing a single petal.
I love the moment the groom catches a glimpse of his bride coming down the aisle.
David captured these from his vantage point behind and below the ceremony on a little walkway. They’re perfect.
The early evening sun peaking through the marine layer created this soft glow on the surface of the ocean.
We headed out to the beach for some quick portraits before their grand entrance. I shot specifically to avoid the surfers hanging out on their boards in the waters, but they were all yelling and hooting their congratulations to the newlyweds. It was awesome.
Lee makes one handsome groom, doesn’t he?
Jen Lauren Grant captured most of these details since I was on the beach with Jackie and Lee for portraits.
Cake image on the left taken by David on film. The one on the right was taken by me digitally. I think they compliment each other well!
The grand entrance was followed by a choreographed dance by the wedding party that the guests absolutely loved! The guys were pretty anxious about it and spent most of the morning practicing it amongst themselves and it really paid off.
Jackie later changed into this gorgeous qipao and the two of them performed a cute fox trot for their guests as their first dance.
