Jeannine and Matt met at UCSB and have been a happy couple ever since. They drove down from Santa Barbara to Santa Monica to meet with me for the first time and so that I could shoot their engagement session. I loved hearing about their upcoming wedding and all the details they’ve set out. Yellow seems to be the color for weddings this year! We started off at The Viceroy in Santa Monica. I was so happy when this wall was available for us to shoot in front of. Every other time I’ve been here the area had been occupied.
The muted grey wall looked awesome against their violet shirts.
Love the Hello Kitty ring that Jeannine is sporting!
We shot in the morning and had the lobby area mostly to ourselves which was awesome. The Viceroy is great about letting photographers shoot on their premises, so I’m always very courteous to the other patrons and try to shoot around them. But I love the look of Jeannine and Matt having the place to themselves. So romantic!
Then we headed to the beach for some casual photos of Jeannine and Matt. They brought along some balloons which made such a cute prop!
We then trekked the beach to shoot under the pier. I love this next image, it’s so sweet!
Thank you both for driving down for your awesome esession and also for bringing me all those bakery goodies! I ate nearly half the box before I got home (it was a long drive!) Can’t wait for your big day in Santa Barbara!
