Danielle and Eric share such a loving and supportive relationship. I love watching the two of them together and how they take such great care of one another. That’s just who they are. Two people, big hearts, lots of love. And I have to say, that I love them right back! We started off their session at the Santa Monica Pier on a gorgeous afternoon. It was a bit chilly, but the two rocked the session like nobody’s business! I’m so excited to share this session with you all! Big thanks to the fine people at Richard Photo Lab for making my film images look so amazing and to my dear friend Connie M Chung who came along with me to this session to shoot and assist me with lighting for part two of our engagement session.
The light in Santa Monica was just heavenly and I love how it catches and glints in Danielle’s gorgeous hair!
This next one is so hot. I love how they bring the fierceness!
There’s also a sweet side to them as well.
Eric and Danielle make a ridiculously good looking couple. I love these solo portraits of them so much!
I love it when the waves pull back and you’re left with a rippled glass like surface.
It took Eric a couple of tries to get this just right, but he did a great job and even made it look pretty!
Those captivating eyes just get me every time. Eric, you are a lucky man!
How cute is this umbrella? I almost wished for some rain so we could do an entire session around this umbrella!
I also shot a roll of black and white film and love how these came out. There’s something so classic about black and white images with some grain.
Danielle, you are so beautiful.
The next part of our session was all Eric. Usually at first meetings when I ask about potential locations for an engagement shoot, the couple is still up in the air and deciding. Not Eric, he works down town and loves sports and told me that he really wanted part of their session to be shot at LA Live. It’s not my typically thing to do night portraits with off camera flash, but I couldn’t deny an excited groom and was excited to try something different!
I love this next one so much. It’s so bad ass especially with the commando guy in the background!
After the shoot as Connie and I were contemplating where to eat, she mentions prime rib. I drool a little bit and then it’s decided. We’re treating ourselves to Lawry’s for dinner! Awesome way to end the night, if you ask me!
