I met Jessica and Curt for the very first time at their engagement session. These high school sweethearts will be tying the knot later this year at one of my favorite venues; Marvimon House. Jessica and I had discussed some of her ideas for their engagement session and so when I turned around in the parking lot and saw these massive yellow balloons floating through the sea of cars towards me, I knew I’d found Jessica and Curt.
These two are so darn cute and fun! We spent the day wandering the fair, eating funnel cake, drinking frozen lemonades, eating mashed up bits of cotton candy, and shooting around the fairgrounds.

Time to get seriously fierce now. Awwww yeah.

So did you guys know that they no longer make hand spun cotton candy anymore? All they have are bags of the premade stuff and it’s not even on a stick! What’s up with that? It kind of made me sad. We ended up improvising and it worked out great.

[Insert Kayne] : Work it harder, make it better. Do it faster, makes us stronger. More than ever, never over. Our work here is never over.

It took a bit of convincing and crowd maneuvering to get Jessica and Curt up on this wall, but I knew it’d make for awesomeness. So glad they were game to do some climbing over people and on top of things!

And as the sun set in the horizon it was time to get a little romantic at the fair.

Aren’t they so beautiful together? Le sigh….

After this last shot was taken, Jessica and Curt gave away their balloons to a small boy and girl. As I left the OC Fair that night, I saw those two kids with their balloons crossing the street in front of me at a light. Totally brought a smile to my face.

After a quick change of clothes it was time for us to hit some rides!

I love how stylish my couples are! Jessica and Curt coordinated perfectly, but opted out of the matchy-matchy look. They looked awesome!

The smell of sweet roasted corn was just too hard to resist. What’s yours is mine, right honey?

We breaked for some mandatory fair food (ie: funnel cakes washed down with frozen lemonades) and then continued with our session at night with all the fun carnival lights!

I’ve always wanted to shoot on a merry go round and I finally got my chance! I love these next two shots so much!

A big thank you to Curt’s little sister and her boyfriend for coming along for assistance, moral support, and extra laughs!
See you all at the wedding!
