Tina and Kenny very recently became a family of three (or five if you count their fur babies)! I was so excited to meet baby Sophia, she is such a beautiful little baby and kindly snoozed through our entire 30 minute mini session. It’s funny how quickly you forget how teeny newborn babies are. I still call Emmeline (my 1.5 year old) a “baby” and she’s huge! Holding teeny tiny Sophia at our mini session was the highlight of my day!
Connie and her sister Linda both booked separate mini sessions with me, but I scheduled them back to back so that we could get a couple shots of both of their families together. I really love and admire the relationship these two families share. The ease, the humor, how giving everyone is with each other and of course how all the little cousins get to grow up together. They really are so blessed to be so close with one another! Connie and Rob are expecting a little brother for Trystan and I can’t be happier for them all!
I had such an overwhelming response to my mini sessions that I ended up opening up a third date, mostly for my friends who wanted me to photograph their families. I love that those near and dear to me value me, work that I do, and the art I create. It really means so much to me.
This is the second time I’ve photographed the beautiful Fong family and I am so in love with these images! As you can tell from last year’s session, Madeline wanted nothing to do with me whenever I pointed my camera in her direction. I’m happy to report that this years session resulted in no tears lost, just beautiful images!
We woke up near dawn to photograph Thomas and Yen’s wedding and it was pure magic when I stepped outside to see the sun peeking it’s golden rays over the hills and a sky filled with bright colored hot air balloons. It made me feel like a kid again standing in the there in the quiet morning witnessing such a simple joy.
There’s something about intimate destination weddings that I love so much. There’s the beautiful venue, Auberge du Soleil, tucked away into the hills of Napa with olive trees, quail, rabbits and entire families of deer roaming about. There’s the Bride and Groom who arrive looking oh so relaxed and happy for their day to begin. And the excited family and friends who have traveled to be there to share and celebrate with the Bride and Groom. It was such an amazing day filled with the sweetest, kindest people and it was a true testament to who Yen and Thomas are.
Referrals from previous clients are always the best. Even if I don’t get to meet them before the shoot, I just know they’ll be super sweet and great to work with. That’s exactly what I got when I met up with Chelsea and Isaac (and their pup!) for their engagement session. What I didn’t expect was how ridiculously good looking they’d be. It was a gorgeous day to be shooting and although the beach was a bit crowded, we had the most beautiful light and these two pretty much rocked their entire session.

My girls got the opportunity to model for my friend Paris of Maison de la Fork who designed, styled, and baked for this birthday inspiration shoot photographed by Cipriano Murillo. Emmeline and Ellie had so much fun together and I really love how beautifully Paris styled this shoot. If you’re looking for someone to help you design and style your event (weddings, birthdays, …anything really!) or bake some amazing treats for your event send her a message and let her know I sent you! I really love how much thought and detail goes into everything that Paris designs. She is really amazing!
I loved getting to spend time with this gorgeous family and had so much fun photographing them together. Little Emme has such an inquisitive mind, I was blown away by her thought processes and the way she absorbed her surroundings. In some ways she seems so grown up, but still so little in the way she holds tightly to her Boo and takes him wherever she goes. Uyen and Kenny will be welcoming another little girl to their family soon and wanted to take portraits with their first baby before they all become a family of four. It’s always a big transition when welcoming a new baby into the family. Once the baby arrives, Emme will become the big sister so I hope these images help Emme to remember the time when she was Mommy and Daddy’s little baby.

Fall Mini Portrait sessions are here! This is a great opportunity to have portraits done of your family for your upcoming holiday cards or to get beautiful portraits done if you’ve added a new one to your family. They’re great for little ones since the sessions short and sweet, the kids don’t have to “be on” for 1-2 hours. Space is limited so book soon!
some a bunch of images from families I photographed at last year’s Mini Sessions.
I’ll be announcing Fall Mini sessions in a few weeks! I’m starting a bit earlier this year since my film lab gets really busy around the holidays. One weekend, one roll of film, 30 minutes, shot in one of my favorite locations in Orange County. Hope to see you all there!
I photographed Beth and Brent’s wedding in 2009 and I got to photograph them last year at my mini session with their newest addition to their family. Isn’t he the cutest? Good genes in that family, I tell ya!
